You know, someday I’ll actually keep up with this blogging thing again.
Yes, I’m still getting that first draft done, BUT I have figured out what was stopping me, been working on that and it’s coming along. I have about 9 chapters left to go, give or take, and when that’s done I am rewarding myself with a subscription to Ancestry.com. An odd reward? Maybe, but I’ve inherited my parents’ desire to keep up on the genealogy, especially now that I have a son of my own. Perhaps my recent addiction to Who Do You Think You Are and Finding Your Roots also has something to do with it 🙂
Anyway, the end is approaching and I am getting excited!
I avoid thinking about all the editing and worldbuilding I have to do after this first draft is complete. Must focus on one huge step at a time, right?

Dara, this is Ronald Davis.Have you done any more or gotten any thing on our geneology?
I have no new information, but I have been studying what we have,
1st: Jemima was NOT Jane, the daughter of Peter Jefferson! That would make her Thomas’ sister!
2nd: Records show that she DIED at age 25 , unmarried!
3rd: Jemima’s three oldest sons claimed (and who could know better than they?} that she was first cousin to Thomas Jefferson.
and 4th: The obituary of the John Davis that married Jemima STATES that her maiden name was Jefferson.
Now if she was a Jefferson AND a first cousin to Thomas , she had to be a daughter of Field Jefferson, Thomas’ ONLY .uncle.And she would have to be Field Jefferson’s daughter who was born when Jemima was thought yo have been born–1736. That daughter was Elizabeth about which there is no other information. That is filled in by Jemima. The family may hav called her by the name Elizabeth and she went by her other name ,Jemima .
Allthe facts point to her alone
